  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk at room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla and mix well.
  • In a large bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch. Whisk to combine. Gradually add flour mixture to the stand mixer and mix until just combined and only a few streaks of flour remain.
  • Add the chocolate chips and caramel bits, stir briefly. Form dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy!
